Union Pacific is invested in Texas as it serves all major cities and Gulf Coast ports of
Texas. Brenda Mainwaring, Regional Vice President of Public Affairs, will discuss how
Union Pacific supports economic development in Texas. Based in Spring, Texas,
Brenda leads the Union Pacific team that interacts with elected officials, media and
communities in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee.
She began her career with Union Pacific in government affairs, responsible for legislative
analysis in UP’s 23 operating states. She was appointed Director of Corporate Relations in 2001
and subsequently managed UP’s role as supplier to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games
and developed Union Pacific’s museum and trademark licensing program. Before
joining the railroad, Mainwaring was an intelligence analyst in Washington, D.C.
