September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, and Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is raising awareness and educating our community on sickle cell anemia. We are asking our community to donate blood in the month of September, to build a more diverse blood supply in order to treat diseases such as sickle cell. All donors for the month of September will receive a pair of socks to thank them for their donation.
