Access Health presents Heart of Fort Bend

The Heart Of Fort Bend fundraising event in support of the otherwise unmet healthcare needs of the working poor in our community. A Community in Need Ninety-nine percent of AccessHealth’s patients have a family income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Fifty-six percent of AccessHealth’s clients are uninsured. When challenged to pay for the necessities of food and housing, people in poverty often forego seeing a doctor or paying for prescribed medications because their resources are depleted. Too often, their medical conditions become critical, creating a financial burden for themselves as well as the community at large. You Can Help Lives are changed every day at AccessHealth when people gain access to quality, affordable healthcare. That’s why we are so grateful for our Heart of Fort Bend sponsors. Proceeds from this event help to ensure that a child is immunized and protected from disease; an expectant mother gets prenatal care; a diabetic gets his disease under control; a family without resources can see a dentist; or a struggling adolescent gets counseling.
